Tomorrow?

Summary: Jayne the big bad Merc, starts wondering why he doesn't like Badger's looks.
Timeline: Erm, a post BDM where they deal with Badger, haven't read all the comics so I don't know if they still deal with the cretin.

He's lookin' where he ought not to 'gain. Starin' after that girl, woman, with eyes that would suit me when I get trim. Here it's all sorts of unnerving, 'specially aimed at moonbrain. Takin' in her body bit by bit, before he makes his move. His mouth's movin' 'gain, but I don't want to listen, I want to punch that little--- why's everybody lookin at me? "What?" I ask.

"Badger would like to know why you're gripping your knife hilt with murderous intent." Zoe told me. I looked down at my hand, sure 'nough there it was round Binky. I let go.

"Mebbe I wanna know why he's dressin moonbrain down in his head." sure told them. Mal's eye's widened a bit. Moony started ramblin bout seasons and times for reaping. And ploughing. Mal's eyes got real wide bout that, but din't mean nothin'. It's crazy talk. Mal talks Badger into takin' a good job for a good wage, and we head out to some low life planet in the 'verse to deal. 'Course I get late night watch for talkin' back at Badger, which means I gotta go change with Moony.

What I din't spect, is Moony asleep on bridge. Shakin' her wake seemed best idea, but she seemed content sleepin' there. So I obliged and carried her to her room. As I left, that doctor comes out, and outright asks if I'd been foolin' round with his sister.   Just cause I left her room, I hafta be foolin' around with his mei mei. Not that I would. Women ought never have to anything like that unwilling, and Moony'd never be willin', so I best not think on her that way. Even if she's handled my goods. And she can  fight an entire army of Reavers. Ah gorram it, I've got bridge duty tonight, go on die down. Tomorrow, tomorrow'll be better for these thoughts.
